Using Post-Nominals

Academic post-nominals, sometimes casually referred to as letters after your name, are abbreviations that indicate education qualifications that you have achieved.

These are available for use by Australasian College of Health and Wellness graduates on business cards, resumes, and similar documents to exemplify your qualifications. They must only be applied once the award is conferred.

See the table below for our available qualifications and their post-nominals. Please note that Undergraduate Certificates are not currently included as they are not formally part of the Australian Qualifications Framework at this time.

Rules for use

1) Post-nominals must be placed after the name in signature and be of a smaller font size

2) Lower academic awards are listed first leading to higher awards.

    Example: Joan Smith
AssocDAHSc, BAHSc

3) The name of the education provider must follow the academic award. If there are multiple awards from one education provider, then you list the name of the education provider after all qualifications.

    Example: Joan Smith
BNg USYD, BAHSc ACHW

4) Membership to professional associations may be added after academic post-nominals.
